Steve Flasch, Industrial Superintendent
Steve Flasch serves as Industrial Superintendent at Swanson & Youngdale, where he oversees quality systems, manpower scheduling, material procurement, payroll, and QP1 management. In this role, he is responsible for maintaining safety, quality, and production across industrial projects.
Steve brings 25 years of industry experience, including 21 years with Swanson & Youngdale. He began his career working for a bridge contractor, performing sandblasting and painting on DOT projects across the country. He later joined S&Y as an industrial painter and transitioned into the office after seven years in the field. He has spent the past 13 years as Industrial Superintendent, building on his extensive field experience.
Steve’s expertise includes high-performance coatings, abrasive blasting, bridge painting, and work across wastewater treatment plants, energy infrastructure, and tanks and vessels. He has experience supporting DOT, wastewater, and power projects, where adherence to industry standards is critical.
Steve approaches his role with a coaching mindset, focusing on supporting his team so they can perform at a high level. He emphasizes strong quality control processes, training, and clear expectations, while reinforcing best practices across both field and office teams.
