The S&Y Way

To honor our employees, the S&Y Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) fosters a culture of reward sharing based on company performance. All qualified office employees are automatically enrolled in the ESOP retirement plan, making them stakeholders in the company.

Our History

In 1946, the partnership of Swanson & Youngdale was formed with a handshake. The company foundation Vern Swanson established runs deep—fueling our growth even to this day. From our very first job painting a house, to painting U.S. Bank Stadium and beyond, Swanson & Youngdale has never strayed from its relentless commitment to quality—always striving to be the best.

Community Involvement

Since 1989, S&Y has been a proud participant in the Minnesota Keystone program—a program recognizing leading businesses that are making a difference in the community. As part of Keystone, S&Y donates 2% of our pre-tax earnings each year to support valuable programs in our state.
