Joe Towner, VP of Operations

Joe Towner serves as Vice President of Operations at Swanson & Youngdale, where he provides leadership across the organization to support safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution. He oversees company-wide operations, including the safety program, field operations, and warehouse functions, helping maintain alignment across teams and consistency in how work is delivered. Joe plays a key role in strengthening operational performance and supporting teams with the tools and direction needed to succeed.

Joe brings 20 years of industry experience, including the past 10 years with Swanson & Youngdale. Since joining the company, he has worked closely with teams across the entire organization, contributing to the development and execution of operational strategies that support both field and internal operations. His ability to step outside of day-to-day project demands allows him to provide additional perspective and support when challenges arise.

Prior to joining Swanson & Youngdale, Joe was part of a leadership team at a roofing and mechanical subcontractor in southern Minnesota. In that role, he helped guide initiatives related to safety, property and casualty insurance, and apprenticeship programs. This experience shaped his approach to leadership, with a strong focus on risk management, workforce development, and long-term operational consistency.
