Greg Guimont, Chief Executive Officer

Greg Guimont serves as Chief Executive Officer of Swanson & Youngdale Group, where he is responsible for the overall strategic direction and performance of the organization and its subsidiaries. In this role, he leads acquisitions, oversees capital allocation, and sets company-wide expectations for culture, performance, and long-term growth. Greg is ultimately accountable for the health of the business and the value created for its employee-owners.

Greg brings over 20 years of leadership experience, including more than 10 years with Swanson & Youngdale. After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point, he served as an Army officer, where he developed a leadership foundation centered on accountability, mission clarity, and taking care of people. He later transitioned into the private sector, gaining experience across operations and executive leadership before establishing S&Y Group as a holding company to support long-term growth and expansion.

Greg’s expertise includes strategic leadership, mergers and acquisitions, employee ownership structures, organizational culture development, operational performance, and executive team building. At the holding company level, his focus is on acquisition integration, strategic planning, leadership development, and building the systems that allow each division to perform at a high level. He is known for taking a business-first approach, focusing on strengthening the organization while empowering leaders to execute.

Greg has played a key role in establishing S&Y Group’s acquisition strategy, strengthening its employee ownership culture, and developing a structured leadership framework across multiple divisions. He emphasizes that strong outcomes are driven by placing the right people in the right roles with clear expectations and accountability.

Greg leads with a philosophy rooted in integrity, accountability, and people development. Outside of work, Greg serves as a hockey coach, where he focuses on developing teamwork, discipline, and a competitive mindset in young athletes.
