Dan Lundean serves as an Estimator at Swanson & Youngdale, where he focuses on supporting the company’s flooring division. In this role, he evaluates jobsite conditions, substrate challenges, phasing requirements, and schedule constraints to develop accurate and realistic project estimates. His work helps ensure crews are set up with the right approach, resources, and expectations to deliver high-quality results.

Dan brings over 10 years of industry experience and joined Swanson & Youngdale in December 2025. Prior to joining S&Y, he spent nearly a decade working for an industrial flooring manufacturer and installer in Wisconsin. Dan specializes in resinous floor coatings, surface preparation, hygienic flooring solutions, and take-off software. He has experience across a wide range of resinous flooring systems, from urethane cement to ESD applications and other specialized environments. Known for his field-first mindset, Dan focuses on ensuring crews have the time, materials, and tools needed to execute efficiently, while also identifying opportunities to improve processes and outcomes.

Dan plays an active role in contributing to team development and innovation, including helping implement tools to improve documentation and quality control across projects. He prioritizes clear, proactive communication and makes himself available to both field teams and project partners to keep work aligned and moving forward.

What matters most to Dan about working at Swanson & Youngdale is the strong team environment and the drive shared across the organization. He values the collaboration among coworkers and the leadership’s commitment to setting the Gold Standard and supporting the team. 

Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife, two kids and two dogs. He also loves staying active and has a background in the health and fitness industry, where he worked as a personal trainer and supplement representative.
